The photographer behind the work

I've been a creative my whole life.

My mum was a piano teacher and an artist, so I grew up surrounded by art. Art was the only subject I ever actually wanted to do in school, and honestly, the only one I was any good at.

I've been working in creative fields since I was 18, across web design, product design, and UX. A couple of decades spent obsessing over how things look, feel, and function.

But photography is the one that stuck.

For the past ten years, I've travelled the world with a camera in hand, including every single prefecture in Japan. All 47 of them. It's taken me on more adventures than I can count, to the point where I'm now travelling three to six months out of every year.

And here's the thing: I didn't really start travelling until my late twenties.

Photography gave me that spirit of adventure. It gave me the excuse to go out and explore, and that sense of inspiration is exactly what I want to give back.

These prints are how I do that.

They represent everything I've learned over 20 years as a creative professional. The attention to detail, the intentionality, the borderline-perfectionism. Every single element has been taken care of: the highest quality prints, the highest quality timber, the highest quality shipping. It took me ages to source the right printing partners who are obsessed with quality as much as I am.

But that's just the end of the process. The part I love most is the ten years it took to build a portfolio worth sharing in the first place.
